Catalina Island Adventure

The other day me and a good friend were talking about how amazing the weather has been lately, it being like summer in January and all, and we discussed possibly taking a weekend trip to Catalina Island.  After she told me that she’d never actually been there before I decided that we have to go sometime soon when the weather is amazing! If you live on the west coast near LA or San Diego its definitely somewhere you should visit especially if you’ve never been. It’s like having an island vacation without the long, boring dreadful flight, instead you just hop on a ferry and ride on over. One of the best parts about Catalina is that there are no cars aloud you have to either ride a bike around or rent a golf cart. The island is full of charm, its filled with cute little cottages and quaint hotels, there are adorable ice creameries and plenty of cute shops on main street in Avalon! I remember going there when I was a little girl on family vacations, one of my fondest memories is one where my mother had hid a bunch of treasure on the beach (although at the time we thought pirates had buried it) and so we went on a treasure hunt and uncovered a box with tons of jewelry inside! I also remember the time I went snorkeling with my dad and I was riding on his back (since I’m afraid of the fish getting to close to me!) and he decides to swim after a giant sting ray, needless to say there was a lot of screaming and flailing about! But I love all those memories, like walking over and getting rainbow sherbert every night with my little sister! I am so excited to show someone else Catalina Island and I hope they wind up loving it just like I do!
